Happy Birthday! Today is a special day, marking another year of life gifted by God's incredible grace. As I celebrate this milestone, my heart overflows with gratitude for the countless blessings and the divine protection God has bestowed upon me.
Reflecting on the past, I am reminded of the numerous times the enemy tried to bring me down. Yet, in every instance—whether it was the battle with cancer, the pain of abuse, the struggle with self-doubt, or the depths of depression—God stood by me. He has been my refuge and strength, a constant presence in my life.
Psalm 46:1 says, "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." This verse resonates deeply with me, as it captures the essence of God's unwavering support and protection throughout my journey.
Surviving cancer was one of the most challenging experiences I have ever faced, but God’s healing power and comfort saw me through. Isaiah 41:10 reassured me, "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." His words gave me the courage to fight and the faith to trust in His plan.
In moments of abuse, when I felt broken and alone, God's love reminded me of my worth. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." His comforting presence helped me find healing and safety.
Through the trials of self-doubt and depression, God's guidance and encouragement lifted me up. Jeremiah 29:11 offered hope: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." These words reminded me that my life has purpose and that God's plans are filled with hope.
Today, as I celebrate this birthday, I give all thanks to God. His mercy, love, and grace have allowed me to continue on this journey. Psalm 118:24 perfectly encapsulates my feelings: "This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Thank You, God, for the precious gift of another year. Thank You for being my protector, healer, and source of strength. I commit this new year of my life to You, trusting in Your divine plan and striving to reflect Your love and grace in all that I do.
